For Immediate Release – April 15, 2021 – Bethany, Oklahoma – The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association Executive Committee and Board of Directors are pleased to announce that the 2021 Redbud Spectacular will take place in Oklahoma City, OK at the premier State Fair Park, June 3-13, 2021.

The State Fair Park is home to many other prestigious equine events.  This venue provides an opportunity for trainers, exhibitors and owners to bring, ride, and compete in the historic Jim Norick Arena as well as the Super Barn, Performance Arena and the arena in Barn 9.  This is same facility that hosts the Adequan AQHA Select World Championship and the Farnam AQHA World Championship Horse Show, Adequan AQHA Level 2 Championship Horse Show, Nutrena AQHA Level 1 Championship, NRHA Derby and the NRHA Futurity and Championship Horse Show.  If arenas are not in use, they are available for riding 24 hours a day.

OQHA is requesting that all horses be pre-entered on the fillable form found on prior to the horse show.  OQHA is requesting forms and be emailed to  Pre-entry deadline is May 25, 2021.  OQHA has also began using Horse Show Tracker to allow results to be transmitted quickly to the office, announcer and the web.

Entry forms, The Redbud Spectacular Show book, schedule, stalling information, Elite Stall Mat rental, VIP RV Reservation, vendor form and sponsor form are found on Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association’s website

This year OQHA will offer a flat rate of $650 for all divisions and all classes. Additional activities include the Redbud Ranch Riding Challenge with added money for Open, Amateur, Amateur Select, Youth and Level 1 Divisions.  Events include Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail and Ranch Reining.

OQHA has also added Amateur Select Level 1 western pleasure, western horsemanship, showmanship and trail.

OQHA has added the Rope Oklahoma Incentive and the ARHFA Open heading, heeling and calf roping futurity and the Non Pro heading and heeling.

This year’s Redbud Spectacular will be fun and enjoyable and hosted in compliance with local, state and federal mandates.
