Cynthia “Cindy” Chilton-Moore, Claremore OK

Cynthia “Cindy” Chilton-Moore, Claremore OK and her identical twin sister Diane Chilton-Harper were born in Fort Worth, TX, January 18, 1953 to Lawrence and Rebecca Chilton.

She graduated from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science with a Production Option.

She became an American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) Judge in 1995.  She currently holds ten equine judge credentials and has judged numerous prestigious horse shows domestically and internationally.  She was an AQHA Show Steward 2010-2015.  Chilton-Moore has been an AQHA Professional Horseman 2008 to present.

She served on the AQHA Equestrians With Disabilities Task Force 2013 to 2020 and assisted in updating those rules.  Those rules were submitted and adopted by five other associations.

She represented Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association (OQHA) as a member of the AQHA Region 8 Championship Horse Show Steering Committee 2008 until it was disbanded in 2017.  Chilton-Moore assisted the Steering Committee in turning the horse show in a profitable venture while continuing to provide a positive horse show environment.

In 2014 the OQHA name Chilton-Moore the Most Valuable Professional Horseman.  She was elected by OQHA as their President in 2014. She has been an OQHA State Director from 2008 to the present.  Three OQHA Past President presented her with volunteer of the year.  She has assisted the OQH Hall of Fame Committee in raising $250K in sponsorships since 2014. Cindy currently serves as an AQHA National Director since 2018 and a member of the AQHA Public Policy Committee.

Cindy worked as the American Paint Horse Association as Director of World Shows, Youth, Amateur and Racing 1979 to 1985.  She applied for and received approval for their highly successful APHA Youth Scholarship Foundation.  In 1986 Chilton-Moore was hired to as General Manger of the Palomino Horse Breeder of America (PHBA).  She managed the association and their World Championship Horse Show.  Again she applied for and received approval for the PHBA Youth Scholarship Fund & Educational Fund.  She retired in 2008.

She is a Certified Scuba Diver, Licensed private pilot and Certified AI Technician.  She likes to snow & water skiing, team roper and lobbying on state and federal levels.

Cindy is married to AQHA Show Steward Gary Moore and they have four children Jaque, Jeremy, Jerod, his wife YenLeing and Justin, his wife Kara.  Gary and Cindy have three grandchildren Avery, Branden and Eli.
